Shell has a project called FuellingChange that gives a total of $1 million to environmental projects and organizations selected by voters. At the moment the Greater Bragg Creek Trails Association’s trail building project is ranked number 1 in the $25,000 category. With your help GBCTA can receive up to $25,000 towards their trail construction program, with the potential to be matched with a provincial facilities grant.

Trailhead information kiosk at Chester Lake trailhead April 28th. The supports broke due to the amount of snow sitting on the little roof. Alf Skrastins says “It’s fully winter out there now!”

Ever wonder how much of an impact our sport and use of trails has on our local economy? The Calgary Mountain Bike Alliance and Mount Royal College are conducting a Survey on the economic impact of trail use. It not only relates to Mountain biking, but to all trail use, including cross country skiing, snowshoeing, and hiking.

The Greater Bragg Creek Trails Association is holding a Fundraiser 6:00 pm March 12 at the Snowbirds Chalet on Balsam Avenue (beside the mall). Funds raised will go towards development of new trails in the West Bragg Creek area.

Alberta Tourism, Parks and Recreation is proposing to develop the area along the Lower Kananaskis River between Canoe Meadows and Barrier Dam.
