Why is the King Creek area closed until further notice?

King Creek day use area, King Creek and King Creek Ridge route are closed due to grizzly bear activity until further notice. Check out Clayton’s pictures of the griz and her two cubs on King Creek Ridge.

What’s happening in the Sheep in June

The Sheep River Area in Kananaskis Country has seen many changes over the years. Recently many of the trail names were changed in the Gorge Creek area after the closure of Gorge Creek Trail Road and the undesignation and decommissioning of older trails.

Greater Bragg Creek Trails Association needs Your votes to help build trails

Shell has a project called FuellingChange that gives a total of $1 million to environmental projects and organizations selected by voters. At the moment the Greater Bragg Creek Trails Association’s trail building project is ranked number 1 in the $25,000 category. With your help GBCTA can receive up to $25,000 towards their trail construction program, with the potential to be matched with a provincial facilities grant.
