Mountain-forecast.com is a website that forecasts the weather for specific mountains around the world including a good selection of Kananaskis Country peaks. Alf Skrastins has found their forecasts to be more accurate, especially with respect to snowfall amounts, than Environment Canada or The Weather Network.

The Mustang Hills

The Mustang Hills is the group of three hills located ENE of Rainy Summit between Hwy. 66 and the Elbow River. At a summary glance, they appear to be covered in trees, but in reality they harbour meadows offering great views. Within their folds wander the wild horses, perhaps headed for a drink at the pond.

Shell has a project called FuellingChange that gives a total of $1 million to environmental projects and organizations selected by voters. At the moment the Greater Bragg Creek Trails Association’s trail building project is ranked number 1 in the $25,000 category. With your help GBCTA can receive up to $25,000 towards their trail construction program, with the potential to be matched with a provincial facilities grant.
