Sparrowhawk Tarns, Sept 7 | Trip Reports | Kananaskis Outdoors Forum

Awesome weather & an awesome day up in the basin. The route/trail I described to make it up the rockfall here is in better shape with a better defined trail than when I was up here at the same time last year, though the actual start remains a bit sketchy for the first 50 m or so up the slope.

We took the opportunity to spend more time up there than last year and better explore the basin, and did a clockwise lap including the waterfall under Bogart Tower then over to the tarns themselves then down via the main waterfall. Not much water in the tarns. But who cares? The place is just darn spectacular.
