As the clouds start to break in the Bow Valley this morning, it's obvious a bunch of snow fell down to the 1,900 m mark (well below treeline) in the neighbourhood, and unlike the last snow event on Aug 15, accumulations this time were significant. It's only 10° in Canmore at 11 AM; I'll update this later today to note if any solar melting occurs during the day, but I would expect to encounter snow patches this weekend in shaded and northern aspects up high no matter what the temps get to.

At the end of a sunny day, snow remains down to treeline basically all through the Bow Valley. Some spots (the far east end of the valley, Pigeon Mountain, and the east end of Grotto Mountain) lost most of snow above treeline. But anywhere even slightly shady and snow remains, to treeline or below, and is looking still solid on Collembolla, Allen, all the Lougheed peaks, The Sisters (the ramp to the Middle Sister is snow covered), Miners, Ha Ling & Rundle. It probably only got to 15° in the valley today despite the sun all day, so I'm not surprised the snow stayed.
