Bobcat trail changed | Hiking Trails | Kananaskis Outdoors Forum

As written up in volume 2 of the KCTG,  Bobcat —6C— in the West Bragg trail network, was flagged and ready for the mini hoe in the summer of this year. It never happened and in fact the upper section has recently been realigned  and now leaves Sugar Momma at 615437.  Flagging on the original route has been taken down. The new route , marked by red telus flags traverses easy ground  (some deadfall to be cleared, but is easily circumvented) to upper Ranger Ridge. On arriving at the western escarpment, rather than zig down a steep grass slope, the route loses height by heading south down Ranger Ridge to the junction at 612434 with Ranger Ridge Connector trail. From here it’s in position to make a very long traverse back north across the side slope  to a west ridge where it joins the opriginal line. 

Eric tells me the bridge is in over Ranger Creek and the trail has been cleared from the bottom up to the Ranger Ridge Connector.
