Canmore Trail Maps

by Tony Daffern on October 14, 2010

The town of Canmore has produced a double-sided trail map, useful for everyone from first time visitors to long-time residents. The map shows all paved pathways and major gravel/natural surfaced trails throughout the town core and along the flanks of Canmore’s surrounding peaks. Some local access and unmaintained trails are not shown on the map in order to ensure legibility and highlight major routes.  Over time, the map will be updated to reflect additions and changes to pathways and trails in and around Canmore.

The map may be viewed online and free paper copies are available at the following locations:

  • Canmore Civic Centre Reception Desk
  • Canmore Museum and Geo Science Centre
  • Canmore Recreation Centre Front Desk
  • Canmore Public Library
  • Tourism Canmore Information Centre
  • Travel Alberta Information Centre
  • Canmore Nordic Centre Information Desk

It looks like some portions of your map have been flipped while other parst have not. Isn’t Calgary East of Canmore?
Thought you should know.

For those coming to Alberta from further away, this might be a useful travel planning tool – http://banff-alberta.net/
