Tony forgot to mention that snow conditions were really good on Saturday. Although the temperature was up in the teens the snow had a nice firm base and was in no way starting to bottom out. Too bad there were only 3 cars at Burstall Pass parking lot. As we plodded on towards the Robertson Glacier we met two half-naked skiers who had spent the day making pretty turns at Burstall Pass. The other party, that included mixed climbing guru Sean Isaac, had tried the French-Robertson traverse—everyone enthusing about what a great day it had been.
