Bernie Mason 1920-2010

Alberta Tourism, Parks and Recreation is seeking input on the West Bragg Creek All-Season Trail Plan, a plan to upgrade and enhance the trail system within the West Bragg Creek area.

New Avalanche Danger Scale

A new Avalanche Danger Scale was announced today by Environment Minister Jim Prentice. Developed under the leadership of Parks Canada’s Grant Statham, and several years in the making, the new scale will be implemented for next winter, though there’s no reason why you can’t refer to it now.

Hike Moose Mountain Access Road

I had not hiked up the access road before and it’s been years since I’d even driven the road.  So, I was pleasantly surprised at how enjoyable it was.  At this time of year, the road is in the sunshine almost the whole way.  And  the views along the way were pretty impressive.
